Khawaja is head of technology governance and chief information and cybersecurity officer at a large public sector federal bank in Pakistan. He is a cyber warfare subject matter expert at the Department of Defense & Strategic Studies and former regional coordinator, cybercrimes, at the Federal Investigation Agency of Pakistan. Khawaja is a founding member of the Cyber Security Alliance of Pakistan and the Pakistan Information Security Association and is on the ISACA chapter board. He contributes to an initiative to establish a national level Cyber Emergency Response Team, or CERT.
