"The whole ecosystem has to be built up to counter back to the cyberattacks," Daga says. "We need to really think about how we define the product. How do we define the process? How do we implement the technology?"

Daga says organizations need to focus on cyber resilience but cautions that technology tools are just part of the solution. Cybersecurity programs must engage the business users and the third-party ecosystem of partners and vendors, she says.

In this interview with Information Security Media Group, Daga discusses:

  • Big-picture cybersecurity trends for the new year;
  • Why product sprawl is such a problem and how to handle it;
  • Top defensive elements organizations should keep in their security portfolios.

Daga has more than 20 years of experience managing business support applications, information security and other technologies. Prior to joining Yes Bank, she worked with Reliance Capital Ltd., Reliance Life Insurance and Kotak Mahindra Old Mutual Life Insurance.
