In a video interview with Information Security Media Group at RSA Conference 2022, Coviello also discusses:

  • The state of the industry;
  • Emerging technologies he's watching as an investor;
  • How the Russia-Ukraine war has affected security strategies and programs.

Since stepping down from RSA in 2015, Coviello has been an active investor and adviser in the technology industry, guiding a number of startups as a private investor and in his roles as a Venture Partner at Rally Ventures - an early-stage investor in business technologies, as an adviser to Syn Ventures Security Fund, and as a senior adviser to Blackstone's Tactical Opportunities Group. From January 2001, Coviello served as president and CEO of RSA and following RSA's acquisition by EMC, as an executive vice president of EMC and head of its Security Division. Coviello has been a central figure within the information security industry for more than 25 years. Under his leadership, RSA Conference became the most respected vendor-agnostic event in cybersecurity. Coviello is frequently a featured presenter at conferences and forums around the world, and he has played key roles in several national cybersecurity initiatives.
